Creating Lasting Impact Through Inclusive Sports
BIDA Games is more than a one-day sporting event. It is a movement that empowers persons with disabilities through sports while strengthening partnerships between communities, government agencies, businesses, volunteers, and families.

The People Behind the Numbers
Behind every statistic is a story. Many participants came from economically vulnerable backgrounds with limited access to organized sports, education, employment opportunities, and inclusive community programs.
BIDA Games gave these athletes an opportunity to compete, build friendships, develop confidence, and celebrate their abilities in front of their families and communities.

What We Achieved
Inclusive Participation
Athletes representing a wide range of disabilities, including physical, visual, hearing, intellectual, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, amputees, and wheelchair users, competed together in an environment designed around accessibility and inclusion.
Stronger Community Partnerships
One of the project's greatest outcomes was the strengthening of relationships across sectors: collaboration with over 10 Persons with Disability Affairs Offices (PDAOs), new commitments from local government partners, increased support from private organizations, growing interest from Makati City to formalize future collaboration through an official Memorandum of Agreement, and expanded relationships with volunteers and corporate sponsors. These partnerships lay the foundation for future editions of BIDA Games and broader disability inclusion initiatives.
Empowered Athletes
Through adaptive sports and inspirational sessions with accomplished para-athletes, participants experienced greater confidence, improved self-esteem, increased motivation, and stronger teamwork, along with a renewed belief in their own potential. The event demonstrated that disability is never a barrier to excellence.
Families and Communities
Impact extended beyond the athletes. Families, caregivers, volunteers, schools, and community organizations participated throughout the event, strengthening relationships while increasing public awareness and appreciation for inclusive sports. The event became a celebration of community rather than simply a competition.
Financial Transparency
₱621,468
Every contribution directly supported the delivery of the event, funded through cash donations, donated professional services, and donated equipment and supplies.
Major investments included athlete meals and refreshments, event venue and production, sports equipment, awards and recognition, uniforms and event materials, transportation and logistics, and marketing and awareness campaigns.
Transparency helps our donors and partners understand how their support translates into meaningful impact.
What Went Well
The project delivered several important outcomes: strong collaboration with government and disability organizations, donations from both local and international supporters, and medical and sports equipment distributed to beneficiaries. Participant satisfaction was high, food distribution was effective, and the event ran safely with medical support on standby. Athletes proudly showcased their skills and talents, and volunteers expressed interest in returning for future events.
Lessons Learned
Continuous improvement is part of our mission. Following feedback from athletes, families, volunteers, and partners, future editions will focus on expanding the event beyond Metro Manila, introducing additional sports such as chess, badminton, and pickleball, improving online and on-site registration, increasing outreach to participants earlier, and strengthening volunteer coordination. These recommendations will help BIDA Games become more accessible and impactful every year.

Looking Ahead
BIDA Games was never intended to be a one-time event. Future priorities include expanding to more cities and provinces, building long-term partnerships with LGUs and disability organizations, increasing participation across more disability categories, offering additional adaptive sports, and creating more opportunities for education, leadership, and community engagement. Every year, we aim to make inclusive sports accessible to more Filipinos.
