Every Child Deserves the Opportunity to Play, Compete, and Belong | BIDA Games 2026
Inclusive Sports for Persons with Disabilities · BIDA Games 2026
For many children and persons with disabilities (PWDs), access to organized sports remains limited. Physical barriers, lack of inclusive programs, financial constraints, and limited community support often prevent them from experiencing the confidence, friendships, and personal growth that sports can provide.
At BIDA Games, we believe disability should never limit opportunity. Through adaptive sports, community partnerships, and inclusive events, we help create environments where every athlete can participate, compete, and be celebrated.
Inclusion is not simply about accessibility; it is about creating opportunities where everyone belongs.
The Challenge
Across Metro Manila, thousands of persons with disabilities continue to face barriers to participation in sports and community life. Many rely on their families, NGOs, and local government support due to limited access to inclusive programs and services. Despite having the country's largest PWD population, NCR still has significant gaps in community-based opportunities designed specifically for persons with disabilities. Without them, physical health declines, self-confidence fades, and social isolation deepens; talents go undiscovered, and families lose the chance to connect with a supportive community.
Sports can change all of that.
Why Sports Matter
Inclusive sports create far more than athletic competition. They build confidence and independence, improve physical and mental well-being, and develop teamwork and leadership skills, while forming lasting friendships and letting athletes showcase their abilities instead of their limitations.
Adaptive sports also bring together families, volunteers, schools, businesses, and local governments, creating stronger communities that embrace inclusion rather than exclusion.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower persons with disabilities through sports by creating inclusive opportunities that promote equal participation, physical and mental well-being, self-confidence, leadership, and a genuine sense of community belonging.
We also aim to build sustainable partnerships so inclusive sports become an annual movement rather than a one-time event.
Our Objectives
Inclusivity
Ensure equal access to sports and recreational activities for children and persons with disabilities regardless of their physical, sensory, or intellectual condition.
Health & Well-being
Encourage active lifestyles that improve physical health, emotional wellness, and overall quality of life.
Empowerment & Community
Develop self-esteem, confidence, social connections, and a sense of belonging while encouraging collaboration among families, volunteers, government agencies, and private organizations.
Who We Support
Our programs primarily serve persons with disabilities throughout Metro Manila and nearby communities, including individuals with physical disabilities, visual and hearing impairments, intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, mobility impairments, amputations, and wheelchair users.
Many participants come from economically vulnerable backgrounds with limited access to stable employment, education, healthcare, and inclusive recreational opportunities.
Why Your Support Matters
Your support helps provide accessible sporting events, sports equipment, medical assistance, meals and refreshments, transportation, volunteer coordination, recognition and awards, and safe competition venues.
Most importantly, it gives athletes the opportunity to experience achievement, friendship, and belonging.

Success Story
Lire Ebal

Last year, one of the participating children was even discovered by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and later got the opportunity to represent the country.
Lire Ebal was selected to represent the Special Olympics Pilipinas team in both Texas and Indonesia, confirmed by an official letter from Special Olympics Pilipinas.
These are exactly the kinds of opportunities and life-changing moments we hope to create.
